Welcome to Robins

In the Foundation Stage our aim is to provide a secure and stimulating environment, where children are motivated to become independent learners and thinkers. We recognise that each child is unique and we do our very best to ensure that every child makes the most of his or her potential.

In this Stage we learn through child-initiated play and adult-directed small group activities. The Foundation Stage curriculum is organised into seven areas of learning:

  • communication and language
  • physical development
  • personal, social and emotional development
  • literacy
  • mathematics
  • understanding the world
  • expressive arts and design

Reception Ofsted quote

Mrs ImbornoneMy name is Mrs. Imbornone and I love teaching the Robins at Saint Lawrence School. I enjoy getting to know the children and their families when they begin school in September. Watching the children’s development and progress is a privilege and I feel very lucky to be part of the early stage of their education. The Robins’ class is full of fun, excitement and surprises! It is so rewarding to see children growing into confident independent learners through the activities and opportunities that they get involved in our learning environment.

Miss ChristopherHello I am Miss Christopher and I’m the Learning Support Assistant in the Robins’ class. As a child I use to be a student at the school and I am back now working with the youngest children at Saint Lawrence School.  I qualified as a teaching assistant in 2012 from Lincoln college. I have a background in Special Educational Needs supporting children in all aspects of their learning. I enjoy watching the development and growth the children make not only while in the Robins but as they make their journey though out the school. As part of my role within the school I support the children in their social and educational needs. Watching them grow into the wonderful people they all are is a privilege. I cherish and feel lucky to be a part of their time at the school.
