Year 2 – Wrens

Welcome to the Wrens’ class page!

Wow! Can you believe you are in Year 2 already! What an amazing year it will be!

We currently have 28 outstanding Wrens in our class family who are taught by Mrs Wilson and supported by Mrs Richardson. We are a wonderful, caring class family and there’s a real buzz in our classroom as soon as you step in.

Within our class, you will continue on your marvellous journey at Saint Lawrence Church of England Primary School. We aim to build on the fantastic learning experiences undertaken in the Robins and Wagtails. It is a big step up, but we are ready for the challenge! We have inquisitive minds and want to learn as much as we can through exploring, investigating and asking lots of questions. Educational visits, WOW! Experiences, class worship, share time, a nativity production, as well as a curriculum jam-packed with amazing learning opportunities, your memories of your time as a Wren are ones that you will cherish forever.

You are more than welcome to pop into our super classroom and see the excellent learning that takes place.

Bonjour! I am Mrs Wilson and I am the Wrens’ class teacher. I am in my fifth year of teaching and I feel incredibly privileged to be in a position where I get to support and develop the children’s love of learning as part of their journey at Saint Lawrence. I particularly enjoy being creative with the learning environment, making learning come to life, and creating learning challenges that inspire children to discover their own learning.

My name is Mrs Richardson. I am a Learning Support Assistant. I work closely as part of the team providing support and interventions with groups and individuals. One of my favourite activities to do in the classroom is Literacy. I love watching the children use their imagination and ideas, then using what they’ve been taught to WOW us. I also love art and creative activities, especially if they involve glitter! Outside of school life, Wales is one of my favourite places to go on holiday, as I enjoy walking and seeing what nature I can find. I also have various sport and exercise hobbies to keep me busy and I enjoy camping in the Summer but if it isn’t so nice outside, I enjoy baking or reading a nice book.
